Your PlayStation E3 Round Up of All Games Announced that is Coming to PS4 from EVERY conference Can your wallet handle this amount of greatness??

With all the games shown throughout the many conferences, it can become confusing as to exactly which games will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and which ones were exclusive to other platforms. This aims to help anyone in that situation. I have dug through all the announcements on each stage and compiled a list of all the multi-platform and PS4 console exclusives and full blown exclusives. They will be separated by the conference in which they were shown (note: Kingdom Hearts 3 was shown on multiple floors, will only include once) and have the release dates or window if they were announced. We will start off with the conference that we all made sure to watch, the PlayStation E3 2018 Showcase and move on from there. I hope you enjoy.

PlayStation E3 2018 Showcase

1) Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII – As you may know Treyarch has decided to forgo the traditional campaign we have all become accustomed to. Instead they will have a new Battle Royale mode called Blackout.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: October 12, 2018

2) Control – The latest game by Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Quantum Break. This world premier was on PlayStation’s stage which featured a shifting world in which the protagonist, Jesse Faden can seemingly float and control objects through telekinesis.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: TBA

3) Destiny 2: Forsaken (DLC) – This is Bungie’s newest DLC in which it appears to be one that will change the game. In the trailer a very popular NPC character is shown to have been shot and presumably dead. This is sure to either anger fans or make them curious enough to play and find out exactly what happened.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: September 4, 2018

4) Days Gone – The new IP from Bend Studio, which features Deacon as the protagonist. This game was given a spotlight on the Game Informer cover for June 2018. The release date was revealed a few days before E3 as a part of PlayStation’s countdown to E3 daily releases.

Platforms: PS4

Release Date: February 22, 2019

5) Ghost of Tsushima – The new IP from Sucker Punch studios will take us to Feudal Japan and the island of Tsushima during the Mongol Invasion of 1294. You will play as Jin who carries the nickname “Ghost of Tsushima” as you traverse the open world ridding it of the Mongols. In order to do so Jin will have to surpass his samurai training in order to repel the Mongol army from Japan.

Plaforms: PS4

Release Date: TBA

6) Deracine – This was announced at the end of the PlayStation E3 conference. This was the new title from Sony Japan Studio and renowned studio known for the Souls series From Software. It’s and exclusive title for PlayStation VR and the trailer description reads as follows: “As a spirit summoned by a young girl in a secluded boarding school, the player must prove its existence and build a unique bond with the students through cleverl interactions. As the mystery unfolds, the spirit must use its ability to manipulate the forces of life and time to change the fate of the pupils”

Platforms: PlayStation VR

Release Date: 2018

7) Kingdom Hearts III – While this was revealed at a total of 3 different conferences, I’m including it here since it was at PlayStation’s E3 and we are discussing the games shown there. I won’t include it with the other conferences as there is no point in including the same game 3 times. With that being said, we got a new look at one of the many worlds that will be playable within the game. This trailer focused on the Pirates of the Caribbean and featured Jack Sparrow along with Sora and friends. Along with this, we got a look at a limited edition PS4 Pro console that seems to be a Japan auction item at this time and a look at the Kingdom Hearts 3 Collector’s Edition. You can purchase the collector’s edition only through the Square Enix online store.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One

Release Date: January 29, 2019

8) Death Stranding – The new IP from Kojima Productions exclusively for the PS4 had a gameplay trailer they brought with them for the conference. While this trailer didn’t really shed anymore light on the subject matter of the game, it did give us a look at the world we will be in and the attention to detail that Kojima has put together using the Decima engine.

Platforms: PS4

Release Date: TBA

9) Nioh 2 – This was a complete surprise announcement. Throughout all the “leaked” E3 documents showing what was supposed to be at the PlayStation show, none of which mentioned Nioh 2. This is a follow up to the critically acclaimed Nioh that released on the PS4 on February 7, 2017. There wasn’t any talk or chatter about a sequel coming or even being worked on, so when that trailer was shown it was a complete surprise. There is no word on if you will be playing as the original protagonist William Adams or if this will feature an all new protagonist. Either way, I cannot wait to get my hands on this one.

Platform: PS4

Release Date: TBA

10) Spider-Man – The game most likely to cause a buzz this year is Spider-Man. Developed by Insomniac Games and made exclusively for the PlayStation 4 this title will come to life in a sprawling open world adventure. With ultimate web-slinging action, you’ll find yourself traversing the world in an effort to take down the bad guys from low level thugs to high level bosses.

Platforms: PS4

Release Date: September 7, 2018

11) Trover Saves the Universe –  From the creator of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland comes his newest game. Like his latest games this one will be exclusively for the PlayStation VR. You will play as Trover, a purple eye hole monster that will need to find power babies, plug them in to your eye holes so that he can absorb their power and track down Glorkon and save your dogs.

Platforms: PS4/PSVR

Release Date: TBA

12) Resident Evil 2 Remake – This game came as a shock to me. I wasn’t aware of what they were showing until I seen Leon Kennedy. At that point I was completely taken back. Capcom used their proprietary RE engine to remake the classic from the ground up and it shows. Are you ready to relive the genre defining masterpiece with a deeper narrative experience?

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: January 29, 2019

13) The Last of Us Part II – Finally, we get to see extended gameplay of one of the most anticipated sequels to ever happen in gaming. It starts out with Ellie at a church, seemingly reminiscing on a time of the past and quickly cuts to, well Ellie cutting the throat of her enemy. The gameplay doesn’t show Joel, however during the trailer a NPC does reference speaking with him that day and refers to him as Ellie’s dad. This leads us to believe that Joel is in fact alive, just maybe not fit for battle anymore. Also shown is Ellie and her girlfriend (possibly) as they share a kiss while dancing. If you play close attention to the wrist of the girlfriend you will see a bracelet. Now cut back to when Ellie is kicking ass and taking names and you will notice that Ellie is now dawning that bracelet. What does this mean? I for one cannot wait to find out.

The talks referring to what we believe is Joel happen at the 1:00 mark and the bracelet part you can notice at the 3:21 mark initially (on the girlfriend) and then again at 3:38 mark on Ellie.

Platforms: PS4

Release Date: TBA

14) Ghost Giant – Another title revealed during the days leading up to E3 as part of the Pre-E3 showing from PlayStation comes Ghost Giant. Ghost Giant is a heartfelt puzzle story in VR about trying to keep life together with a little help from a very big friend (you). From the studio that brought you Fe and Flipping Death, Ghost Giant is made exclusively for the PSVR.

Platforms: PSVR

Release Date: TBA

15) Tetris Effect – The first announcement for E3 from PlayStation as part of their Pre-E3 reveals was Tetris Effect. A game that can be played both with the regular PS4 or in PSVR. This is a new take on an old classic. The mechancics will remain the same but coming from the developer of Lumines and Rez Infinite, you can bet that music and the beats will have some part of the gameplay. If you choose to play in VR mode, there will be some mind boggling effects with the color splashes and extra artifacts exploding on screen.

Platforms: PS4/PSVR

Release Date: Q4 2018

16) Twin Mirror – From the studio that brought you Life is Strange and Vampyr comes a new journey that will be published by Bandai Namco. You will play as Sam, a 33 year old recovering from a recent break-up as he returns to his hometown in Basswood, West Virginia for the funeral of his best friend. Depressed and bitter, he feels completely out of sorts. When he awakes in his hotel room with a bloody shirt and no memory of his whereabouts the previous night, he will embark on a twisted effort to uncover the truth.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: TBA

17) Beat Saber – This is a unique VR rhythm game where your goal is to slash the beats as they are coming at you. Every beat indicates which saber you will need based on the color and also the direction you will need to slash. All the music is composed to perfectly fit the hand made levels.

Platforms: PSVR

2) Fallout Shelter – It is finally making its way to the PS4. It is a free to play survival simulator where you will manage your Fallout Vault.

Platforms: PS4/Nintendo Switch

Release Date: Immediately

3) Rage 2 – This is a sequel that I don’t think anyone seen coming, aside from Wal-Mart Canada that is. This is a cross developer project between Avalanche Studios and iD Software. Avalanche is of course known for their large open worlds and vehicular combat with titles like Mad Max and Just Cause while iD is the studio that started the FPS genre and continues to amaze people with DOOM 2016 as their most recent project. The combination of the two studios could be something magical or could spell disaster for the project. Of course we will have to wait until sometime in 2019 for the definitive answer to that question.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: Spring 2019

4) Wolfenstein: Youngblood – This is a follow-up sequel to the events that happened in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. It will star the twin daughters of the previous protagonist BJ Blazkowicz and will be set in an alternate 1980s Paris. The game will be able to be played solo or full co-op.

Every character you come across will be a real person. A Power Armor Helmet Collector’s Edition was announced for $199.99 and can be preordered through various outlets.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: November 14, 2018

6) DOOM Eternal – This is the sequel to the critically acclaimed and best selling reboot in 2016. As the DOOM slayer, return to take your vengeance against the forces of Hell. Fight across dimensions as you will be slaying new and classic demons with powerful new weapons and abilities.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: TBA

7) Starfield – The first new IP for Bethesda in 25 years. There isn’t much to know about this IP but I will let you try and decipher what it could be about from the very brief trailer we got to see.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: TBA

9) The Elder Scrolls VI – In unusual Bethesda fashion they gave us a brief look at The Elder Scrolls VI. Usually Bethesda isn’t known for showing anything until the project is close to ready, so when this was shown it left for a lot of questions. I feel that with the community’s constant questions about when the next Elder Scrolls game would come that Bethesda had to do something to ease the community’s mind. However, I think they just opened the door to a whole new set of questions. Well, at least we know we might get Elder Scrolls VI before our microwaves get Skyrim….well maybe.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: March 15, 2019

8) The Crew 2 – It was announced that The Crew 2 would be getting a beta before release. Which honestly its more of a demo than a beta as the beta and game release 8 days apart. Not really time to make any adjustments considering the “beta” ends 4 days before release of the full game and if you preorder the gold edition it will be the day before release. Anyhow you can preload the open beta now and it will start on June 21, 2018.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: June 29, 2018

9) Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – Ubisoft is sticking with the full RPG experience they brought with Assassin’s Creed: Origins and with this title you will be able to choose between playing as Alexios or Kassandra as your protagonist. It seems the developers have taken inspiration from the Bioware titles of old where your character can romance whomever it desires be it male or female. Your dialogue won’t change no matter which gender you choose but will feature different voice actors. Odyssey is going to be set in ancient Greece and looks almost identical to the assets used in Origins. If you preorder the Gold edition you can gain access to the game 3 days early on October 2, 2018.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Sadly Electronic Arts has confirmed that there will be no Nintendo Switch copy of the game. Madden will release with two editions, the standard and the Hall of Fame edition. It will start with Geonosis, which they say will have “multiple levels” including the largest level ever added to the game. The new heroes slated to join the game are General Grevious, Count Dooku, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: TBA

8) Battlefield V – While it was already announced that EA will be ditching the Premium Pass for this installment of Battlefield that didn’t stop them from bringing this game to the front stage at their E3 conference. It appears there was one more thing they needed to announce for the game and that is of course a battle royale mode. Now not many specifics were given for this mode like if it will feature the 100 player count as most of the games in this genre do. They did let us know that there will be team-play, vehicles and destruction for an experience you’ve never had in any previous Battlefield game. Now this is unfortunately all we know at this time with more details planned to emerge later on. Also if you preorder the deluxe edition you will gain 3 days early access to the game starting October 16, 2018.

Of course we will know more on this as we see more information released. Perhaps the most bizarre of all for this game is that it will be published by Activision.

Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC

Release Date: Early 2019

6) Devil May Cry V – The game is being developed by Capcom internally. As usual Devil May Cry fashion, the combat was definitely looking smooth. It appears that the game will star Nero from Devil May Cry 4 and he appears to be using the Red Queen, the sword from the same game. He also seemed to have a replacement for the Devil Bringer ability that uses a new robotic. The trailer ends with a long-haired Dante speeding off on a motorcycle.
