Lightwood Games is back at it again, this time with their new picture puzzle game Pic-a-Pix Pieces. Pic-a-Pix Pieces uses the same concept in completing the puzzles as its predecessor Pic-a-Pix Color. The main twist this time is that instead of each puzzle being its own picture, each puzzle is actually a smaller piece of a larger picture. For instance, you will complete the puzzles and after finishing you will see a picture that looks well, incomplete. That is when you start to realize that the more puzzles you complete the more the picture you are creating is coming together. Each puzzle shows you a small piece of the picture until you complete the entire picture.
Pic-a-Pix Pieces does include a platinum trophy, a favorite among the trophy hunters out there. Lightwood Games listened to the feedback regarding Pic-a-Pix Color’s “time trial” trophies and don’t have them in this game. You can complete the game at your own pace and still obtain the platinum trophy. With this game you can earn a total of 25 trophies for each version of the game. There are a total of 4 possible platinums with this one game, one for each region in NA and EU and for each platform PS4 and Vita.
The game also features a color blind mode which has been highly praised for its ability to allow color blind players to still enjoy the game. Lightwood Games as been a long time supporter of the accessibility features in this sense. Knowing that, each of their color based games feature this accessibility.
